One of the largest obstacles facing underprivileged young athletes is the ability to afford the uniforms, shoes, sports equipment, and clothing required to participate in athletics with their peers. To remove this barrier, Legacy Cares is proudly partnering with two amazing groups, Pass It On and Laced With Love, to host two on-site donation bins for young athletes in need.
Pass It On
Pass It On was founded by Wade Crum, a high school soccer player who wanted to help his teammate by donating his cleats from the previous season that were still in good shape. This inspired Wade to create Pass It On, a bin donation system that collects gently-used soccer gear, uniforms, cleats, and children’s clothes. Once bins are filled by donations from the community, Wade disperses the gear to other community partners who have already identified children in need such as Boys and Girls Club, Mikey’s League, and the Arizona Soccer Association.

Laced With love
Laced With Love was founded by Kristen Caroll after learning that over 50% of children removed from their homes by the Arizona Department of Child Safety do not have shoes or were unable to take them at the time of their rescue. To meet this need, Laced With Love collects gently-used shoes and new packages of socks and underwear for these vulnerable children in our community. After sorting and cleaning the shoes, Kristen donates them to the Arizona Department of Child Safety who can supply them to foster children as they are entering the system.
